Get ready, folks – new eats and treats are coming the Greater Brewton area.

East Brewton Mayor Terry Clark said Monday the Simply Donuts & Kolaches location on Florida Street will open its doors on Friday and a new hamburger and hotdog restaurant has chosen East Brewton as its newest location.

Simply Donuts will open at 5 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and on Sunday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Its first location in Andalusia has been very popular with residents.

While Clark didn’t officially name the new hotdog restaurant, he said he believes the owners operate a similar location in Crestview, Fla.

It was also announced Monday that Brewton’s Barista is expected to open sometime later this week. Located at the Burnt Corn Creek bridge, the shop will feature coffees, teas, smoothies and baked items.
