Tigers keep up the hot streak

The T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team continued their domination of opponents this weekend with a 10-run rule of Pleasant Home and Park Crossing. After the wins the Tigers improved to 5-0 for the season.
TRM 11, Pleasant Home 1
The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning. In the second inning Miller outfielder Drew Williamson connected for a triple near the right centerfield fence. An errant throw by Pleasant Home missing the cutoff man allowed Williamson to come around and score, increasing the Tiger lead to 6-0. Later in the inning Russell Smith punched a single to left field to score two runs.
Hunter Brittain perhaps took the wind out of Pleasant Home in the bottom of the fourth with a homerun over the left-center field fence. Smith added another RBI in the bottom of the inning. Miller led 10-0 at the end of four innings.
Pleasant Home scored its first run of the game on an errant throw in the infield by the Tigers. In the bottom of the fifth, leadoff hitter Jordan Williams hit a double off the bottom of the center field fence, putting the Tigers 180 feet away from sealing the win. Brittain answered the call, drilling a line drive to left field, plating Williams for the game-winning run.
Brittain was 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Tigers.
Smith picked up the win on the mound. Caleb Winton and Drew Williamson pitched in relief of Smith, with Winton tossing two innings, allowing no runs and striking out three; and Williamson allowing no runs.
TRM 15, Parks Crossing 3
A strong performance on the mound by JoJo Booker and steady bats on offense propelled the Tigers to its fifth straight win of the season. The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning. Jason Konsler provided the biggest blow with a deep shot to left center to score two runs.
Konsler added two more RBIs in the second inning. Miller went on to score nine runs in the inning on seven hits.
Parks Crossing scored two runs in the third inning on an RBI double by Doron Mitchell and a sac fly to the outfield by Khalid Osborne. Miller added a run in the bottom of the inning.
Parks Crossing scored a run in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Jalon Tyson-Long.
Parks Crossing had five hits for the game. Stonewall Tate led the team with two hits.
Konsler had two hits with four RBIs to lead the Tigers on offense. Drew Williamson was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. O’Neil White was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
Booker picked up his second win of the season, allowing two hits, walking three and striking out six batters. Joshua Winton came in the game in relief of Booker in the fourth inning and tossed two innings of work.
