Tori Wyatt hits 5-for-6 with 5 RBIs to lead Neal

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles cruised over area opponents Escambia County and Monroe County in the Class 4A Area 2 Tournament in East Brewton Tuesday. The Lady Eagles will advance to the Class 4A Sub Regionals in Gulf Shores next week.

Ashli Wyatt was the winning pitcher. She allowed one run on five hits, one walk, and had two strikeouts.

Tori Wyatt was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs to lead the Lady Eagles at the plate. Ashli Wyatt, Natalie Wyatt and Madison Hawthorne had a double. Hawthorne had 2 RBIs, with Ashlie and Natalie Wyatt recording an RBI each.

The Lady Eagles put the game out of reach in the first inning by scoring 12 runs.

Taylor Peters picked up the win for Neal. Peters surrendered one hit and had three strikeouts.

Tori Wyatt was 3-for-3 with two doubles, 3 RBIs, and three runs scored to lead the Lady Eagles. Natalie Wyatt was 2-for-2 with a triple and a game high 4 RBIs.

Neal will play Satsuma Thurs., May 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex in Gulf Shores. The winner will advance to play the winner of Dale County versus Loveless Academy. The loser will play the loser of Dale County and Loveless Academy.
