Brewton 15U finishes third, 13U fourth

The Atmore 15U all stars captured first place in the district tournament in Brewton last week after defeating Covington County. Atmore defeated an undefeated Covington County 13-3 on Sunday to force a winner take all Monday.

Brewton 15U placed third overall, with the Brewton 13U placing fourth. Opp placed fifth overall. Covington County 14U finished in sixth place.

Brewton 15U 16, Covington County 14U 0

After Covington County 15U defeated Opp 4-0, Brewton 15U defeated Covington County 14U. Brewton’s Logan Bush secured the win on the mound and a had a dazzling game at the plate.

Bush was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Logan Sims was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Wyn Brittain had 2 RBIs. Sawyer Lewis, Jennings Hobbs, Stone Martin and Dylan Ingram each had an RBI. Stone had two steals.

Covington County 15U 5, Brewton 13U 1

Caleb Meredith led Covington County with 2 RBIs. Trent Cooper had a stolen base for Brewton.

Atmore 6, Brewton 15U 4

Sam Smith led Atmore at the plate with two hits, a stolen base and two runs scored. Kameron Bowen had an RBI. Sawyer Lewis, Logan Bush, Stone Martine and Sam Bosarge each had a hit for Brewton.

Brewton 13U 15, Covington County 14U 8 (eliminated)

Miller Hart was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored to lead Brewton. Kannon Carter was 2-for-2 with three runs scored. Jordan Crane had a single and scored three runs. Logan Rowell had a single and scored a run.

Brewton 15U 8, Opp 7 (eliminated)

Sawyer Lewis had a game high three stolen bases for Brewton. Lewis also had a hit and scored a run. Brandon Smith had two hits. Logan Bush had a single. Wyn Brittain scored two runs.

Brewton 15U 13, Brewton 13U 10 (eliminated)

Isaac Smith and Landon Sims lead Brewton 15U with two hits. Sims scored three runs. Smith had a double and scored a run. Sawyer Lewis had a double and scored a run. Devin Smith was 2-for-2 with two runs scored to lead Brewton 13U. Kyle Blevins, Jaxson Flores and Logan Rowell each had a single and scored a run.

Atmore 12, Brewton 15U 2 (eliminated)

Kameron Bowens was 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead Atmore at the plate. Jason Owens scored three runs.

Atmore defeated Covington County 15U 13-3, to force a final game. Atmore defeated Covington County 5-3 in the championship.

Atmore competed at the state tournament in Childersburg last week. Runner up Covington County also advanced to the state tournament.
