Amedisys, Inc., one of the nation’s leading home healthcare, hospice and personal care companies, recently announced that its Brewton location earned the Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) best superior performer award.
Brewton is one of Amedisys’ 29 home health care centers who received the SHPBest Home Health patient satisfaction award.
“Achieving clinical distinction has always been a core strategic goal for Amedisys,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer Susan Sender. “We’re proud of the compassionate, personalized healthcare our clinicians provide in the home to tens of thousands of patients each and every day.”
SHP has the largest HHCAHPS benchmark in the nation, placing the vendor in a unique position to recognize companies that make patient satisfaction a priority.
In order to be considered for these awards, providers must use SHP as the HHCAHPS survey vendor for each quarter of the year being considered. They must also have at least 40 completed surveys to ensure statistical significance.
The Brewton office has been in place since 2006 and employs fulltime registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists and more.
It offers skilled nursing for all medical needs including wound care and therapy programs as well as specific programs for heart failure, COPD, psychiatric care and more.
Services are offered throughout Escambia, Monroe and Baldwin counties.
