Mrs. Bernestine Davis, 84, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at a Pensacola hospital. She was a native of Bratt, Fla., and a resident of Century for the past 60 years. She attended the Poplar Dell Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ted T. Davis.
She is survived by two sons, Rocky Davis of LaFayette, Ala., and Ricky Davis of Tallahassee, Fla.; five daughters, Mary Carroll, Betty Porz, Pat Glover, and Lynda “Skinny” Morris, all of Bryneville, Fla., and Susie Adams of Brewton; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gandy and the Rev. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial followed at Christian Home Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Daniel Morris, Shon Glover, Michael Hammonds, Jordan Kline, Teddy Kline and John Kline.
