The Jefferson Davis Warhawk basketball team fell to 3-7 in conference play and 6-15 overall Thursday after they lost a 15-point decision to Alabama Southern in Monroeville 85-70.
Alabama Southern outscored the Warhawks 38-29 in the first half and 47-41 in the second half.
Donald Smith led JDCC with 26 points as Norman Griffin added 19 and Justin Owens added 12.
JDCC was scheduled to be back in action on Saturday at home against Chattahoochee Valley. After Saturday's game, JDCC only has one remaining home game left when Faulkner comes to Brewton on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m.
