The Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce will honor its 2007 Citizen of the Year at a banquet at the Country Club of Brewton on Thursday, March 13.
The guest speaker for the chamber dinner will be Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb.
Cobb is a former resident of Evergreen and served as district judge for Conecuh County before being elected to the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in 1994, where she served until taking office as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2007.
She is also involved in Alabama's Children First Foundation, the American Cancer Society, as well as numerous other associations and programs that benefit our state.
A social time with a cash bar will be held from 6 to 6:45 p.m., with dinner being served immediately following.
The buffet menu will consist of prime rib, chicken supreme, scalloped or garlic potatoes, sugar snaps with grape tomatoes and bacon, garden salad, dessert, bread, tea and coffee.
