TRM Volleyball Heats Up With Wins

The T.R. Miller volleyball team has captured their first area win for the season with victories over Flomaton High School.
The Brewton Middle School team went 2-0 with a 25-2 win and a 25-6 win over the Hurricanes while the J.V. team went 25-15 and 25-11, winning both games.
The varsity girls played three games for a 3-0 series, winning all three games.
Scores were 25-12, 25-13, and 35-16.
“This was our first area wins for the season and I am extremely proud of the way we played. We played very smart offensively. It’s a win we are proud of,” said head coach Terri Thompson.
Anna Grace White did an outstanding job covering the back of the court.
Setters, MacKenzie Hoomes, racked 11 assists and Kaleigh Folsom ended with 12 assists.
The teams also went up against Northview on last Wednesday night as well.
The J.V. team won two of the three games played.
Scores were 25-17, 15-11, and one loss 25-12.
The varsity girls won all three games played against Northview.
Scores for those wins were 25-15, 25-10, and 25-15.
Kaleigh Folsom had 7 aces and 10 assists.
Mallori Floyd had 15 kills on the night.
