September Career Workshops will be held at the Brewton Career Center. Dynamics of an Interview will be at 10 a.m. At 1 p.m. the meeting will be presented at the Brewton Housing Authority by Angie Kelley.

Sept. 22
Brewton Branch NAACP 5010 will hold the Annual Freedom Banquet 2018 at the Brewton Civic Center behind Brewton City Hall. Tickets are $25 each.

Sept. 23-26
Second Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have revival services beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, followed by services at 10:30 a.m. Services Monday-Wednesday will begin at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Kenneth Kidd from First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Evergreen will be the evangelist.

Sept. 26
The Brewton Career Center will host the program, “Real Property Tax Exemption” at 10 a.m. Tax Assessor Thad Moore will be the speaker. This is part of the Sept. Career Workshops.

Oct. 1
Friends of the Library will have a book sale from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Brewton Library Community House.

Oct. 4
The Escambia County Cooperative Extension will have a free pantry distribution from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Recipients must have proof of household income, Social Security cards for household and a valid photo ID for head of household. For more information, call 867-4759.

Divine Temple Church will its homecoming at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served following the service. Everyone is invited. Pastor is Doug Greer.

Cedar Hill United Methodist Church will celebrate homecoming at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jean Spikes will be the guest speaker, with local singers. Please bring a covered dish. Contact Bernie Raines for more information.

There will be a Title I annual Parent Meeting at 9 a.m. in the school library.
