T.R. Miller swim is off to a great start as the pool at the Brewton Area YMCA Natatorium set the scene for the first meet of the year.
T.R. Miller, Murphy, Saraland, Satsuma, and Prattville Christian all took part of the competition at the Sept. 15th home opener for T.R. Miller.
TRM did outstanding with placing first in overall combined team scores with a score of 1,008.50, ahead of Satsuma, who placed a score of 778.
The boy’s division also placed first with a score of 669.50 points over Satsuma.
The girl’s division also made a huge statement with placing a strong second place finish with a score of 339.
Satsuma placed first in the girl’s division with 487 points.
“The team is doing very well and off to a great start. They are competing very well so far. The boys team is very strong and we have several male standouts this season. The girls team is young but they are very competitive. This season we hope to bring back a state title and have team members who will bring back some state medals,” said coach Angel Boyd.
The TRM swim team has several male state cuts who will have the opportunity to compete at the state level this season if they continue with their awesome performances.
