Pollard woman missing

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department is looking for answers in the disappearance of a 74-year-old Pollard woman.
ECSO Sheriff Grover Smith said that a 74-year-old female – Eva McBride, was reported missing on Saturday around noon.
“She was last seen by a family member at about 6:30 p.m., on Friday,” Smith said.
The ECSO was assisted by about 50 or more volunteers, Klass Kids from the Pensacola area, the Department of Corrections, Flomaton Fire and Rescue to search the immediate areas until 10 p.m. Saturday.
Smith said they searched the woods in the area of McBride’s home Saturday night.
“On Sunday, we resumed the search for Eva McBride,” Smith said. “Klass Kids brought tracking dogs, Monroe County Fire and Rescue, Alabama State Troopers, the Daphne Search and Rescue and numerous volunteers assisted.”
On Sunday, Smith said they searched the woods three times using tracking dogs from Klass Kids, Monroe Search and Rescue and numerous volunteers.
“The AST sent a helicopter to search the wooded areas including hunting trails, power lines and gas lines,” Smith said. “The Daphne Search and Rescue searched three bodies of water in the area.”
But McBride has not been found.
Smith said the sheriff’s office has notified all area law enforcement agencies, and the state fusion center has provided her photo and all information to all Alabama law enforcement agencies as well as Florida agencies.
“We have three investigators working on Ms. McBride’s disappearance,” he said.
She is described at 5-feet, 4 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair.
