Some 50 units will participate in the Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade on Friday.
Judy Crane, executive director of the chamber, said that is about normal for the parade.
She said that W.S. Neal High School, T.R. Miller, Brewton Middle School and Flomaton High School’s bands will participate in this year’s parade, which starts at 6 p.m.
“Santa will arrive on the fire truck throwing tons of candy,” she said. “Mrs. Claus will also be riding in the parade throwing candy as well.”
The parade will line up in East Brewton and it will travel down Forrest Avenue, over the bridge on Mildred Street, to the main intersection at the railroad tracks and turn onto St. Joseph then on Belleville Avenue and disband on the side streets of McLellan, Rankin and Granberry.
