Pastor Christine Williams was born on Oct. 15, 1952 in Evergreen, Ala. to Ike Kelley and Ora Bell Bradley. Early in life she learned the love of God and joined the church of which her father pastored.
At a young age, she and her parents moved to Pensacola. It was there that she received her education and continued her education at Pensacola Junior College.
Pastor Williams loved to play the piano and sing praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Her passion for playing and singing began around the age of three and followed her throughout her life; she shared this gift at churches and functions everywhere she attended. She instilled this gift in her oldest daughter, “Jenn” at the same tender age of three.
She met and married Holse Williams Sr. and to this union they were blessed with three beautiful children.
For a number of years, she taught special education at Evergreen High School and with the birth of her second child, decided to become a “stay-home” mother and homemaker.
Pastor Williams has always had love and compassion for others. In the mid-80’s she founded and organized United Christian Society; an organization developed to aid the needy. In 1995, she founded and started Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as pastor.
In her spare time, Pastor Williams enjoyed riding (she loved getting in the car and riding, enjoying the scenery of dirt roads and highways in general), shopping, eating and visiting.
Pastor Christine A. Williams transitioned from her earthly life to live with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by both her parents and three sisters.
Her memories will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Holse Williams Sr.; her loving children, Jennifer Nicole (Tim) Gillman, Holse “Junebug” Williams Jr. and Hosanna Chiquita Williams, all of Brewton; one brother, Bobby Reynolds of Atmore; grandchildren, Christina Lambert and Victoria Lambert; two nephews that she treated as her brothers, Willie “Scooter” (Ann) Bramlett and Isaac “Spam” (Belinda) Bramlett; a niece that she treated as her sister, LeEsther “Le-Le” Bramlett, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends (one friend she loved like a brother, Larry Clark.)
