Two East Brewton residents were killed in a car accident in Santa Rosa County Tuesday night.

Florida Highway Patrol said that the accident occurred at 10 p.m., on State Hwy. 87 at Hopewell Road.

The names have not been released pending notification of next of kin, but law enforcement say that 19-year-old Jessica M. Haveard and 21-year-old Kenneth Tanner Mason Few were killed when the Jeep Patriot they were in was headed northbound on State Road 87 approaching Hopewell Road when the Jeep began traveling off the roadway and onto the east shoulder.

The Jeep then collided with a culvert at Hopewell Road, causing the Jeep to become airborne.

The Jeep landed at an angle after crossing Hopewell Road and began rolling over.

The driver and the passenger were ejected and were confirmed deceased on the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing.
