Two local natives, Kandice Larrimore and Asia Sullivan, graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Physician Assistant program Friday Dec. 14.
Kandice Larrimore is the daughter of Lee and Debbie Larrimore and granddaughter of Carolyn Larrimore and Nadine Lancaster, all of Brewton. During clinical year, Kandice rotated through surgical and internal medicine electives including cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, infectious disease, and intensive care. Kandice has accepted a job and is looking forward to starting her career as a PA in trauma surgery and critical care medicine.
Asia Sullivan, daughter of Mary Sullivan, is a graduate of WS Neal High School and a former resident of Castleberry. She is first person to graduate from The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s dual master’s program in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health. She is a member of the Alpha Eta Honors Society for health professions, the winner of the Outstanding First Year PA Student award, and 1 of 10 students from around the country selected for the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions Scholarship for Excellence.
