The threat of severe weather forced the annual Brewton NAACP Martin Luther King Jr. parade to be rescheduled for Feb. 2.

Line-up will be at 11 a.m. at the City water department shed on Sowell Road and McLellan.

The parade will begin at noon and will follow Sowell Road to the John L. Fisher Center.

Anyone who wants to have a vendor booth can do so for $25. Contact Joe Watons at 809-5423 or any NAACP member.

The MLK service was moved to Feb. 10, at 3 p.m., at Zion Fountain AME Church on Sowell Road. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Anthony Thames.
