TRM Tigers now 1-5

The T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team fell to 1-5 over the weekend in Mobile when they lost a double header to the UMS-Wright Bulldogs.
The Tigers fell 10-0 in the first game of the double header and fell 6-4 in the second game.
T.R. Miller was scheduled to take on Monroe County on Tuesday in Monroeville and will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Jay for a 6 p.m. game.

In the first game, the Tigers were held to only two hits and no runs in the game as they dropped a 10-0 game in the sixth inning after the ten-run mercy rule.
Derek Busby got the start and the loss on the mound for the Tigers. Busby went five innings and allowed five runs on six hits, six strikeouts, and one walk.
John Mathieu came in relief and went 1/3 off an inning allowing five runs on six hits while recording one strikeout.
Seth Holland and Chris Griffin recorded the only two hits for the Tigers as they went 1-for-2 on the day.
T.R. Miller 4, UMS 6
In the second game of the night between the Tigers and the Bulldogs, the Tigers kept the game close while only managing two hits in the game.
In the top of the first inning, T.R. Miller took an early 1-0 lead before UMS scored two in the bottom of the first to take a 2-1 lead after one inning of play.
The Bulldogs added to their lead in the bottom of the second inning as they scored two runs to take a 4-1 lead.
The Tigers responded in the top of the fourth inning with three runs to tie the game at 4-4, but UMS scored a run in the bottom half of the inning and scored one in the top of the fifth to take a 6-4 lead and the win.
James Hamric got the start on the mound and endured the loss. Hamric went six innings and allowed six runs (three earned) on five hits, two walks, and recorded seven strikeouts in the loss.
Will Waters and Griffin each went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead the Tigers in the second game.
Both Waters and Griffin's hits were singles and were the only hits for the Tigers in the second game against the Bulldogs.
