The city of Brewton is getting what Mayor Yank Lovelace is calling one of Brewton’s most expensive renovations by far. The renovations will be taking place from Sowell Road to the intersection at Camp 31. Lovelace estimates the renovations will cost $2.2 million.

The project will include the addition of new LED lights on both sides of the road, drainage work, sidewalks and a crosswalk. Lovelace hopes to make the crosswalk more aesthetically pleasing but is waiting to get an estimate on the pricing.

Lovelace said they hope to have the project completed between September and November.
