The Escambia County Commission conducted a regular meeting on Nov. 12, at 9 a.m.
The accounts payable and minutes were approved in old business.
In new business, the commission considered the posting of a new speed limit on Moody Lane.
“At the last meeting we approved the change for Nelson Rd., this is a lane off Nelson Rd.,” said Chairman Raymond Wiggins.
“We are posting it at 15 mph,” said County Engineer Bill Bridges.
After consideration, the speed limit change was approved. Along with the new speed limit posting, the commission considered the approval of designating county depositories. Before any action was taken, County Administrator Tony Sanks shared, “It is an annual action that does take place, we designate all depositories of the county.”
The commission approved the action and the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will take place on Nov. 25 at 9 a.m. in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of the Escambia County Courthouse, located at 314 Belleville Avenue. For more information on the County Commission, call (251)867-0300.
