Brewton's newest bank has received regulatory approval and will soon be opening doors to full-service banking customers.
First Exchange Bank, a division of Farmers Exchange Bank, received final regulator approval effective March 17.
First Exchange Bank will be a branch of the Louisville, Ala.-based Farmers Exchange Bank and will offer traditional community banking services.
Current employees at the Brewton First Exchange Bank location include Charlene Godwin, Philip Jennings, Shirley Miley, Doris Morris, Tyree Newkirk and Susan Reeves. Thomas said the new leadership team will have nearly 200 years of combined banking experience.
