Lady Tigers earn triple wins

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team improved to 5-7 on the year and the JV team remained perfect as they defeated Hillcrest 15-0 in both games in three innings.
In varsity action, Leslie Nalty and Brandi Kennedy combined for a no-hitter on the mound in the win.
Rachel Bostic was 2-for-3 with five RBIs and a homerun to see the Lady Tigers score eight runs in the first to help take the game.
In JV action, Miranda Anderson and Taylor Guthrie pitched a combined no hitter also as the JV Lady Tigers remained perfect on the year at 8-0 with a 15-0 win.
Leah Brundidge was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a homerun as Guthrie and Teralyn Moore had two hits apiece.
TRM Varsity 17, JUB 1
In a Thursday game against J.U. Blacksher in Uriah, the varsity team improved to 6-7 on the season with a 17-1 win in three innings.
Nalty and Brandi Kennedy combined for a one hitter on the mound.
Nalty, Kennedy, Rachel Bostic, Janel McCorvey all had 3 hits with Emily Waters, Leah Brundidge and Taylor Guthrie adding two.
McCorvey lead the way with five RBIs.
TRM JV 8, JUB 0
In a game against the Lady Bulldogs of Uriah, the JV team went to 9-0 on the season with an 8-0 win.
Miranda Anderson and Laurel Billy combined for a no-hitter and Anderson struck out seven in the eight run win.
Emily Waters and Guthrie lead the way for the Lady Tigers with two hits apiece.
Guthrie had an inside-the-park homerun.
The Lady Tigers were scheduled to take on Excel Friday night at home and will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to Escambia County for 4 and 5:30 p.m. games.
The team will be at home Thursday against rival W.S. Neal.
Game time is set for 4 p.m. at the YMCA Sports Park.
