I have received some letters from people who are interested in the Tippins family. I want to let you know who they are and what they can add to the family tree.
This comes from William O. Greene III, 6048 Robin Hill Road, Nashville, Tenn. 37205.
My father, William Otis Greene, Jr. married Vonceil Jordan of Brewton in 1941. They moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he practiced Veterinary Medicine for 38 years after graduating from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1941. I also graduated from Auburn in 1970 and am still practicing Veterinary Medicine here in Nashville.”
I also received another letter from Alva Nann Cary Taylor.
One more person who called told me of an old, old cemetery that had a lot of Tippins buried in it. I have yet to follow that one up.
Now to another letter that I received about the Harold family. I intend to follow up on this one next week. I have quite a bit of material on this family too and I hope maybe some of it could be useful to this writer.
This one comes from Steve Bocckino from Durham, N.C.
I am trying to trace Henry, Dora and Henry's brother George Harold back to Bavaria, with no success. Do you have any archival articles on this family, or on other early settlers of “Little Germany?” I suspect they all came from the same place. Thanks.”
Thanks for the kind words from all of these letters. I wish more people would get in touch with me. I like to share the materials I have collected for the past many years.
