Mr. Donald Ray Parker, 70, of Janice Lane in Castleberry, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in a Pensacola, Fla., hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. Mr. Parker was of the Baptist faith, a 1969 graduate of W.S. Neal High School, and was a retired millwright from Georgia Pacific with 30 years of service. He enjoyed his rabbit dogs and rabbit hunting.
He is survived by three brothers, Frankie Joe Parker of Brewton, James (Marilyn) Parker of Brewton and Jackie Parker of Brewton; two sisters, Margie Arthur of East Brewton, and Catherine (Rayford) Graves of Castleberry; one granddaughter, Brooke (Michael) Benton; two great-granddaughters, Aubree and Averee; Brookâs mother, Rhonda Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Young and Geneva Johnson; a son, Jimmy Parker; and a sister, Jean Emmons.
Graveside Services were held Sunday, December 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery with Elder Rusty Andrews officiating. Interment followed in Zion Hill Cemetery in Brewton.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
