Planning a holiday meal can be stressful for some families, but holiday meal preparation is going smoothly for Lisa and Freddie McMillan at Drexell & Honeybee’s Donations Only Restaurant.

Each year the McMillan’s work their magic in preparing a feast for those looking for a special meal on a holiday.

Having already served the community with a special Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving meal, the couple is continuing their tradition of offering a special meal for Christmas.

Lisa said the menu is set and preparations are already underway for the Dec. 25 meal.

“We will be serving smoked beef rib roast, charbroiled chicken breast, asparagus, cabbage, collard greens, scalloped potatoes, red potatoes and carrots, yeast rolls, corn bread, pecan pie and assorted desserts,” McMillan said. “It’s a traditional holiday meal we are happy to serve.”

McMillan also said the meal will also be made available for those who are unable to find their way to the restaurant for the holiday.

“If people are home bound, they can request a meal for delivery,” McMillan said. “If someone needs delivery they can call us and we will get that taken care of for them.”

Drexell & Honeybee’s is located on Lee Street in downtown Brewton and will be open on Christmas day beginning at 11 a.m. for the mid-day meal.
