On June 18, 2008, Brewton lost one of its most beautiful citizens. Ellen Craver was one of my favorite people in the world, as she was for most people who knew her.
If you did not have the pleasure of knowing her, you missed meeting one of the angels God had here on earth. There was not a hateful bone in her body.
Each time I saw her, she had jokes and loving words galore. She was witty and positive each time I saw her, even towards the end of her life.
She had immense love for her family and friends, and she bragged on them each time she got the chance.
I feel so blessed to have not only known Mrs. Craver, but to be able to call her my friend.
Some would think it strange for a 23-year-old girl and a woman at the end of her life to be such compatible and loving friends. However, her friendship was one of the most non-judgmental and rewarding I've had the opportunity to experience.
She passed away on her wedding anniversary, which allowed her to be with her true love on their special day. I feel confident she wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
To you Ellen Craver, I am so grateful to have felt your love and know that you will be with me forever
