After many, many months of planning, prepping and construction, the newest addition to the campus of the Brewton Area YMCA was officially inaugurated last Thursday.
In a series of games with four teams participating, the fields and services were put to good use.
Through generous donations and countless man hours, the fields were in pristine condition for the first games on the mound.
Participating in the opening games for the fields were the Gators and the Bulldogs who played a match-up on Thursday evening.
Friday’s games on the new field were played between the Rebels and the Dirtbags.
Games have been scheduled for the field in the coming weeks as the Babe Ruth season gets into full swing.
