Brewton Attorney Thad Moore has a little more time on his hands now that he has retired from his position as the attorney for Escambia County’s government body.

Moore was honored by members of the Escambia County Commission Monday in recognition of his 20+ years as the county attorney. Moore began the stint at the position on July 27, 2998 and has moved into retirment.

Attorney Dave Jordan will be stepping into the role as Moore exits the position.

Chairman Raymond Wiggins presented a proclamation of appreciation to Moore for the “honorable and faithful execution of the duties.” Shown are in the photo associated with this story are, from left, County Administrator Tony Sanks, Comm.
