Mrs. Carrie Jean McPherson, 64, died Saturday, June 23, 2008. She was a member of the Call to Life Apostolic Faith Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest McMillan and Elva Cunningham; her husband, Jesse B. McPherson and six siblings.
She is survived by four sons, Joseph (Eunice) McMillan, Robert McMillan and Marcus (Shay) McMillan, all of Brewton, and Johnnie Ray (Tamekia) McMillan of Flomaton; three sisters, Clara Lovelace and Betty Woods, both of Brewton, and Patricia Moncrease of Castleberry; a brother, Willie Fred Cunningham of Los Angeles, Calif.; her stepchildren, Jesse B. (Deborah)McPherson Jr. and Sarah M. (Walter) Silas of Mobile, Donald R. (Lane) McPherson, Linda F. Nash, Charles McPherson and Daisy McPherson, all of Pensacola, Fla., Dianne Dees, Johnny L. McPherson and Betty (James) Welcher, all of Evergreen; James (Patricia) Dees of Brewton, Chester (Sandra) McPherson of Atmore, Barbara (Robert) Williams of Navarre, Fla., Alice Edmond of Jacksonville, Fla., and Louis Ray Nelson and Don (Vivian) Brown, both of Brewton; a host of grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at Presley-Fluker Funeral Home with Apostle G.L. Gibbs officiating. Burial followed at First Shady Grove Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
