McCall VFD gets new truck

McCall Volunteer Fire Department will recognize National Fire Safety Month this year, by placing their newly acquired 1998 Pierce fire truck into service. Fire Chief Charles Jackson reports that the truck has been designated Engine-1602, and will help maintain their “All-Volunteer” fire department’s ISO Protection Class-4 rating. McCall VFD is one of the 19 Volunteer Fire Departments and 5 Career fire departments which protect the residences, businesses, farms, and timberland properties located Escambia County Alabama. Shown with the new vehicle for the department are members of the volunteer group.
