A Brewton man remains in custody as of press time on five sex-related charges involving a minor female.
Jack Clarence Shultz, 50, was taken into custody on May 27 and booked into the Escambia County Detention Center where he remained Tuesday, pending a bond hearing.
Shultz is facing charges of first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape, incest and aggravated criminal surveillance.
According to the complaint on file, Shultze is accused of sexual abuse, and sodomy of a minor female between April 11 and April 23, 2023 on Raintree Road in Brewton. The rape, incest and aggravated surveillance charges stem from events that reportedly took place at a residence on Matthew Lane in Brewton with a minor female during the time period of Nov. 23, 2021 until Feb. 10, 2022.
Also, the complaint states that Shultz used “forcible compulsion” on the victim in the actions that brought charges of sexual abuse, sodomy and rape.
The charge of incest against Shultz says he did engage in sexual intercourse with the minor female, a person he knew to be legitimately or illegitimately his ancestor or descendent by blood or adoption, namely, his daughter.
The aggravated surveillance charge on record indicates Shultz is accused of observing the minor female without her consent while she showered at the Matthew Lane residence.
A bond hearing was set for Tues-day, however details of the hearing were not available as of press time.
No other details of the case has been released by officials or attorneys.
