T.R. Miller’s Tigers traveled to Wilcox County to take on the Wilcox Central Bulldogs in a region game.
The Tigers showed their power early putting 21 points on the board by the beginning of the second quarter of play. The first half ended with the Tigers taking a high score to the locker room leading 27-0.
As they second half offered some hope to the Bulldogs, the Tigers did their part to keep them humble. With the second- string of Tigers taking to the field, the work would continue. Late in the third quarter, the Jaguars finally find the end zone, but a failed two-point conversion keeps them to 6.
As the fourth quarter unfolded, the Tigers would continue their route against the Wilcox Central team and hold their lead. The Jaguars were no match for the Tiger defense and could not compete with the Tiger offense. They continued to work against the Tigers and were able to find the end zone again, but with no extra point, they are held to 6 on the play and 12 on the night.
As the buzzer to end the game sounded, T.R. Miller would put another notch on the board with the region win.
Final in Wilcox County was T.R. Miller 47, Wilcox Central 12.
The Tigers will stay at home next Friday hosting Jackson Aggies in another region game. Kick off is at 7 p.m.
