The Escambia County Historical Society has set their regular monthly meeting for Sept. 26, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at their usual meeting location at the Thomas E. McMillan Museum on the Brewton campus of Coastal Alabama Community College.

Special guest, David M. Johnson, will present information on some of the early indigenous people.

The Museum and the Alabama Room Genealogy Research Center are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Tuesday through Thursday.

Meetings are open to those interested in the history of the area.
