W.S. Neal’s Eagles took to the road for a region game in Evergreen against Hillcrest.

As the Eagles went into the game off a rousing Homecoming win against Monroe County last week, the team was looking to improve their record on the year.

In the first half of play, the Eagles managed score three times while holding Hillcrest to a field goal.

At the half, the Eagles went to the locker room leading 22 to 3.

Play was delayed due to injuries of two players in the game. No information on the extent of the injuries has been made available.

The Eagles would hold the lead until the final buzzer sounds in Evergreen moving their record forward.

The Eagles have a 4-1 overall record with a 2-1 region record in 3A play.
