The T.R. Miller Tigers dominated the first half of play in Atmore against the Escambia County High School Blue Devils.
Scoring in the first half was all Tiger. Big plays and gifts of penalties against the Devils allowed the Tigers find the goal line five times. A few good PAT kicks and a two-point conversion put 35 points on the board for the Tigers at the end of the first half.
The Devils were unable to score any points in the first half.
As the second half of play started, the Devils had the ball first but it wouldn’t take long for the Tigers to take control.
Some back and forth action kept the ball changing hands, but the Tigers continued to dominate through the second half of play.
The Devils did manage to put some points on the board in the fourth quarter with a touchdown and good PAT.
The final score from Atmore:
T.R. Miller’s Tigers 42
Escambia County High School’s Devils 7
The region win improves TRMs season to 5-2 and 4-1 in region play.
Up next for the Tigers is Satsuma – another region competitor and for the T.R. Miller Homecoming game. That game will be played at Brewton Municipal Stadium with kick off at 7 p.m.
