WSN notches region win against Flomaton

The W.S. Neal Eagles played host to the Flomaton Hurricanes Friday night in East Brewton.
With a good match of play, the Eagles were able to outscore the Hurricanes in the first half.
The Eagles managed to find the end zone four times in the first half notching 28 points in the process.
The Hurricanes managed to cross the goal line twice during the first half putting 14 points on the board.
At the half, the Eagles took that 28-14 lead to the locker room to plan their attack during the second half of play.
As the second half of play unfolded, Flomaton would find the goal line again and put the ball through the uprights for 7 more points making it a one-score game, 28-21
The Eagles got the ball under control again and crossed into the end zone again. Another good two-point conversion puts WSN up 36-21.
The Eagles intercepted a Flomaton pass to regain control of the ball and methodically moved down field. Finding the end zone again and making good on a two-point conversion, the Eagles lead 44 to 21 late in the fourth quarter.
Flomaton had one final chance at scoring but were unable to make enough progress to find the end zone.

The win for the Eagles improves their season 6-1 with a 4-1 record in region play. Up next for the Eagles is a road trip to take on Thomasville. Kick off is at 7 p.m.
