MLK parade, celebration set for Jan. 13

Local groups, individuals and bands will be participating in a parade honoring the late Martin Luther King Jr.
The parade will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 with line up beginning at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at noon and will travel down Sowell Road and will end at the John L. Fisher Center at 301 Liles Boulevard.
Once the parade disbands at the center, those attending will be entertained with live music as wellas jumpers, games and face painting for children.
Local vendors will also be on hand for the annual celebration event.
The theme for the 2024 parade and celebration is “Hold On to the Dream.”

Vendor space is also available for those interested in participating in the celebration event at John L. Fisher Center. Vendors interested in having a space made available for them are also asked to contact Watson for details, specifications and limitations to booth items and activities.
