T.R. Miller High School seniors became graduates last Friday in a ceremony held in the auditorium on the campus of Coastal Alabama Community College.
A near-capacity crowd of well-wishers gathered for the ceremonies that would move the seniors into the world of graduates.
The crowd was welcomed by Kaitlyn Nicole Commander with special remarks from Walter Anthony McBrayer. School Principal Charles Alford was joined by Alisa Thomas as the Top Ten students in the class were recognized and presented with commemorative medallions. Christian Matthew Fain presented a history of the class through the years.
Salutatorian William Edward Bridges addressed his fellow graduates followed by an address from Valedictorian Serenity Danielle Mitchell.
Diplomas were presented to the graduates by Alford assisted by Assistant Principal Catherine Watson.
Top Ten students lead the graduates and audience in the school’s Alma Mater to close the ceremonies.
