An Escambia County attorney has a new milestone to add to his credentials. In a recent luncheon gathering of the Alabama Bar Association, Charles R. Godwin, an attorney in Atmore, was honored for serving 50 years an attorney. Each year the Alabama State Bar celebrates those members of the bar who have been admitted to practice law for fifty (50) years with recognition and a presentation of a special fifty-year certificate and pin. In lieu of the honor ceremony at the group’s annual meeting, the presentation was made during a “Milestone Luncheon” for the 2024 ceremony. Godwin, who is responsible for the annual Law Day event in Escambia County, has been active throughout the county during his tenure as an attorney.
