RSTC receives grant from Ala-Tom RC&D

The Reid State Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Ala-Tom Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council to support student scholarships. The Ala-Tom Empowerment Scholarship Program at Reid State is designed to support students who are currently ineligible for federal financial aid due to program restrictions.
This grant will help bridge the financial gap for students who might otherwise be unable to afford their education. By reducing financial barriers, the program aims to improve student retention and completion rates, ultimately contributing to a more skilled and educated workforce in the region.
“We are grateful to the Ala-Tom RC&D Council for their support of this scholarship initiative,” said Dr. Coretta Boykin, President of Reid State Technical College. “This funding will create new opportunities for our students, allowing them to focus on their studies and complete their programs. We are excited to see the positive effects this will have on our community.”
