The YMCA’s capital campaign team got an exciting boost recently with a healthy donation to the organization.
T.R. Miller Mill Company submitted their pledge of $500,000 in the capital campaign. That donation raises the total amount of money that has been pledged to $2.9 million. The overall goal of the campaign is to raise $5 million in pledges that will be paid out over the next five years.
Ricky Stanley, President and CEO of T.R. Miller Mill Company, said the contribution is one the company is happy to make.
“The owners and management of T.R. Miller Mill Company are pleased to make this contribution, and I am proud to serve on the board of an organization whose mission is to strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” Stanley said. “The YMCA is an integral part of activities in our community for citizens of all ages.”
The Brewton Area YMCA has operated in this area since 1987, even before the building was completed.
All campaign pledges will be used specifically to renovate the buildings and fields on the YMCA campus to continue to best serve Escambia County and our surrounding areas.
The Brewton Area YMCA is a non-profit organization and all donations and contributions are tax deductible.
