Held a day late due to the Veteran’s Day holiday, the Brewton City Council met Tuesday and took the time to honor home health workers.
November has been named National Home Care and Hospice Month and the council approved a proclamation honoring those who serve in that field.
Staff members of D.W. McMillan Home Health were on hand to accept the presented proclamation during Tuesday’s meeting.
In other business Tuesday, the Council:
• held a public hearing to consider a liquor license for Pizza Hut in Brerwton. With no one present to speak for or against the proposed approval, the hearing was closed. Later in the meeting, with no opposition in the matter, approval for the liquor license was approved;
• approved demolition of a home located at 123 Gowan Street.
