Brewton theatre group offers ‘Snow White'

Evil will rein over the East Brewton Civic Center early next month as members of the Brewton Community Theatre troupe presents three performances of Snow White.
Tyler Parker is making his directorial debut with the troupe and is wearing many hats to make the production a success.
Gleaton said changing the location for this performance came out of necessity.
Gleaton said discussions with T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal high schools didn't bring the troupe to a better solution for a performance site.
The performances of Snow White will be presented on Nov. 8 with an afternoon matinee as well as an evening performance. The Saturday shows will be held at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. The Nov. 9 presentation will be a matinee performance beginning at 2 p.m.
Tickets for each show are $5 each and can be purchased at the door prior to show time.
This BCT presentation of Snow White will follow the general story of the fairy tale with some changes from the expected script.
The cast for the production includes Emily Moore as Princess Snow White; Patrick Weaver as Prince Robert; Shawdale Ballard as the Queen/Crone; Bruce Long as the Huntsman; Shakeena Bradley as Esmeralda; Richard McEwan as Walking/Talking Magic Mirror; Ashley Odom as the Cat; Livingston Robinson as Fairy 1; Kaylie Blackburn as Fairy 2; LeAnn Rickard as Fairy 3; Brooke Brown as the Enchanted Vixen; Dwarfs Kayla Partin as Sarge; Kandace Ballard as Gabby; Trint Brown as Gloomy Gus; Victoria Rickard as Ticklish; Olivia Ballard as Spritely; Brittany Rife as Snore; Brandon Patterson as Slowpoke; Ann Lee as Skeleton Leader; Victoria Lee, Anthony Lee, Rebekah Quick, Brock Patterson, Steely Ruzic and Grace Ruzic as skeletons. The production crew includes Parker as director and choreographer; Connie Parker with publicity and costume design; Gary Ellis on set construction; Barbara Harvey on set design with Alex Baggett, Emily Isacson, Cole Pruitt and Taylor Terry serving as stage hands.
