Hammac assumes new role at DWMMH

RN Krystle Hammac has been selected as DW McMillan Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Department Nurse Manager.
Krystle is a 2009 Nursing graduate of Jefferson Davis Community College and joined DWM in the OB department shortly after graduating. Ten years later, she transferred to the Outpatient Department and was promoted to the Assistant Manager role in 2021.
“Krystle provides outstanding care to all of her patients by showing expertise and compassion. She truly goes above and beyond for each and every one,” Director of Nursing Leanne Rowell said. “We are so happy she is part of our leadership team.”
In her new role, Krystle will be responsible for coordinating among DWM providers, specialty clinic providers, and the infusion center as well as managing the Outpatient Department staff.
She is certified in Neonatal Resuscitation, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Oncology Nursing, Chemotherapy, and Immunotherapy.
“I love working at DW McMillan because I am not just taking care of patients, I am taking care of people I know,” said Hammac.
