Board members of the East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross have found themselves in a position to replace the chapter's director.
Rogene Martin, who served as the manager of the local chapter for 11 years, has tendered her resignation from the position.
A transition from previous management to new leadership in the office will be taking place in the coming weeks, Hamric said.
Hamric also said additional changes in the office of the local Red Cross are also expected at the completion of the transition period.
Hamric also expressed gratitude to the volunteers who man the offices and provide services to the community on behalf of Red Cross.
