Mr. Archie B. Trawick, 72, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, in Bay Minette. He was a native of Brewton and a resident of Perdido. He was a superintendent and principal with the Escambia County Board of Education.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Charles Trawick of Perdido; two sons, Tony (Kathy Ellis) Trawick of Lakeland, Fla, and “J.D” Dwayne (Charlene) Trawick of Perdido; a daughter, Tammy (Michael) Ebert of Magnolia Springs; two sisters, Bobby Tew of Florala, Betty Trawick Davidson of Tallahassee, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Ryan A. Trawick, J. Ryan Trawick, Alyssa Trawick, Tyler Ebert, Stephen Trawick, Brittany Trawick, Jordan Ebert and Kaitlyn Ebert.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m. at Perdido Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating. Burial followed at Perdido Baptist Cemetery with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ryan A. Trawick, Stephen Trawick, Justin Ryan Trawick, Tyler Ebert, Jordan Ebert and Michael Ebert.
