B team Eagles drop two, now 8-4

The W.S. Neal Eagle B team dropped their third game in a row and fell to 8-4 Friday night with a 42-19 loss to B.C. Rain at home.
The B team Eagles lost to Jackson earlier in the week 39-28 to fall to 8-3.
The Eagles, who were back in action on Tuesday against T.R. Miller, will be back in action at home on Friday against UMS-Wright.
Game time is set for 4:30 p.m. at W.S. Neal Eagle gym in East Brewton.

Trailing by only three points at halftime to the B.C. Rain Red Raiders, the W.S. Neal Eagle B team was outscored 12-1 in the third quarter and 14-5 in the fourth quarter for a 26-6 outscoring in the half to drop their third game in a row and fall to 8-4.
The Red Raiders used an 11-0 run in the third quarter and scored nine points in 33 seconds at one point in the quarter to claim the 23-point win.
The Red Raiders added to their run in the third quarter to make it a 13-0 run and then added another run in the fourth quarter, this one a 10-0 run to claim the win.
B.C. Rain led 6-5 at the end of the first quarter and then outscored W.S. Neal 10-8 in the second quarter to hold a 16-13 lead at the half.
T.J. Davis led W.S. Neal with five points in the loss.
Ashton Elliott followed with four points and Colby McCorvey and Donnivan Millican chipped in three points.
Tra Dixon and Lorenzo Womack each followed with four points.
The Eagles were 8-of-19 from the free throw line in the loss including 4-of-10 from the charity stripe in the second quarter.
B.C. Rain opened the game with a 2-0 lead with 4:59 left in the first quarter. From there, Elliott and McCorvey combined to score five points for the Eagles and five W.S. Neal a 5-0 run to claim a 5-2 lead with 1:56 left in the quarter.
From there, the Red Raiders ended the quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 6-5 lead at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Eagles connected for only two field goals while going 4-of-10 from the free throw line and trailed 16-13 at the half.
The third quarter only saw one point for the Eagles when Lorenzo Womack hit a free throw for the Eagles with 3:07 left in the quarter that cut the lead to 17-14.
While the Eagles only managed one-point on a free throw, B.C. Rain held a 19-14 lead with 2:39 left in the quarter.
From that point, B.C. Rain scored nine points in a 33 second span after two Eagle turnovers on in-bound passes to hold a 28-14 lead at the end of the third quarter.
The fourth quarter was almost identical to the third quarter as B.C. Rain used a 10- run to hold a 40-16 lead with 1:24 before Donnivan Millican connected for a W.S. Neal 3-pointer with 57 seconds left to end the run.
B.C. Rain would add a late basket to take the win 42-19.

Trailing only by two at halftime, 12-10, the B team Eagles were outscored 12-8 in the third quarter and 15-10 in the fourth quarter en route to a 39-28 11-point loss to Jackson.
The Eagles and Aggies tied 4-4 at the end of the first quarter and Jackson claimed the two-point lead at the half with an 8-6 scoring advantage in the second quarter.
Colby McCorvey led W.S. Neal with nine points in the loss.
He was joined by T.J. Davis with six points and Ashton Elliott with five points.
