The 2009 United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton's fund raising campaign is drawing to a close with a deadline of Jan. 30.
United Fund Campaign chairwoman Sandy English said the deadline should not be a stopping point for those who want to contribute.
English said contributions are made throughout the year with a special emphasis on the annual fundraising drive from October to January each year.
The goal for this year's campaign was set at $90,000. English said a total won't be available until the committee meets next week.
Individuals as well as businesses and their employees have been making pledges to the United Fund, which collects the money and distributes it to agencies.
United Fund gives 99 cents of every dollar to its member agencies, so money raised in Brewton and East Brewton goes to help people in Brewton and East Brewton.
Some 16 agencies are included in the groups and organizations who receive funding each year from United Fund.
