Relay run to raise funds

D.W. McMillan’s Relay For Life team hopes to outrun cancer.
The team is planning a 5K run/walk March 14 to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Runners and walkers of all experience levels are participating in the 9 a.m. race.
The walk/run will start at the hospital, proceed down Belleville Avenue to Henderson Street to Evergreen Avenue, proceed on Evergreen Avenue to Brewton Elementary, proceed alongside the school to Belleville, cross back over Belleville and finish at the hospital.
Applications may be picked up at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital and Timberline Mobile Homes. Early registration will be $20 for adults and $10 for children, ages 8-14. The cost on the day of the run will be $22 for adults and $10 for children. Runners will pick up a T-shirt at registration, and in order to get a T-shirt they should register early, make their checks payable to American Cancer Society and submit by March 8.
