Mrs. Gwendolyn Deuel Fowler, 87, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, in Borger, Texas. She was a native of Castleberry, a homemaker and a member of the Fritch United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victoria and Homer Deuel; and two sisters, Elizabeth Holland and Joyce Brackin.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Lee Fowler; a sister, Charmian Pope of Castleberry; two brothers, Charley Deuel of Mobile, and Homer Deuel of Malone, Fla.
Memorial services were held will be held at a later date at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry. Brown Funeral Directors of Borger, Texas, are in charge of arrangements.
